Satellite TV On Your PC

okay I have a pc with an s-video port..and my cable box has an s-video port on it but my tv doesn’t. Is it possible to hook my pc to the box and be able to view the pc on the tv?
No. The S-video is an output on the cable box.
If your TV has composite input, you need an S-video to composite converter, which is a rather simple device, and should be readily available.
Can someone please tell me how I can watch tv on a pc. Can you please tell me how it works, if it can be done at all.
I don’t mean like connecting tv to my pc screen, but using pc as a tv.
Thank you in advance.
Hi Bossks.
Yes. It is possible to watch tv on a pc. Actually, there are couple of ways to watch tv on a pc.
The first way requires you to buy a device. The device works as a digibox to your pc. It’ll let you watch all free channels on your pc. There are more advanced devices, which will let you watch paid channels on your pc. You’ll, of course, have to pay a monthly fee for each channel. Just like with tv. The device is very easy to install, as easy as it is to install digibox to tv. And the device costs around same amount as digibox. Of cource, just like with digiboxes, there are cheaper and more expensive devices available.
Quite simply, the device will turn your pc in to a tv.
But there is another way to watch tv on a pc. Much cheaper, and easier way. You don’t have to buy any kind of device. All you have to do is to buy a software, what’ll let you watch tv on a pc, via internet. So, you’ll need internet connection. I’d recommend you to have at least 512 mb internet connection. This software will let you watch thousands of tv channels worldwide. You can watch tv channels from your own country, and from foreign countries as well. The best thing in this program is that it works worldwide. You can use it anywhere in the world. The software is easy to install, and doesn’t require you to buy any hardware. There are multiple tv on a pc softwares, some are cheaper and some are more expensive. I have bought only one of them, and I am satisfied with it.
Keep in mind that you can watch even paid channels with this software. And you don’t have to pay monthly fees. Just low one time fee.
If you have faster than 512 mb internet connection, I recomment this to you. But should you have slower internet connection, I recommend you to use the first way I mentioned.
You can read more about the software from here: http://tinyurl.com/n3sw8n

There is a software program for $59.95 that promises to give 3000 tv stations for a one time fee. Has anyone tried this program.
I’m using it now almost every day watching Fox TV & CNN. I like to watch while I’m working on my PC. As far as I’m concerned, it’s a valuable piece of software to me.
By the way, it’s $49 and I got a free magazine subscription along with it. Nice one.
Is it true that you can pay one amount, one time and get up to 1000 different channels including HBO? What is the quality like? Are some site better than others as far as quality and price?
don’t bother paying for that service as it is basically a compilation of several services. Its not what it seems.
Get TVU Player or ant tv (both free last i checked) and toy around with those. If you like them search for similar services cause there are many out there that work off of p2p feeds.
